Original watercolor painting by Eizsa
Mary Magdalene as I feel her in my own heart. I painted her in a slightly modern setting than most paintings because I felt that her message is really timeless and she is present with us as much today as she was yesterday.
There are prints of this painting available for purchase on my website
http://www.artbyeizsa.com/I have really enjoyed books by Margaret Starbird on Mary Magdalene. The Woman With The Alabaster Jar is perhaps my favorite. The following is what she says about her book.
"A heretic teaches what the Church does not teach. A prophet teaches what the Church doesn't teach yet. I teach what the Church taught in the beginning and has forgotten --the Sacred Union at the very heart of the Christian story." Margaret Starbird. Please enjoy visiting her site.
http://www.margaretstarbird.net/Another book I loved is a fictional account of Mary Magdalene and is the beautiful and adoring story by Marianne Fredriksson, (Hannah's Daughters) called "According to Mary Magdalene." I relished every page as the story walked me through day by day experiences she might have actually lived and survived.
