Original watercolor painting by Eizsa

Mary Magdalene as I feel her in my own heart. I painted her in a slightly modern setting than most paintings because I felt that her message is really timeless and she is present with us as much today as she was yesterday.
There are prints of this painting available for purchase on my website

I have really enjoyed books by Margaret Starbird on Mary Magdalene. The Woman With The Alabaster Jar is perhaps my favorite. The following is what she says about her book.

"A heretic teaches what the Church does not teach. A prophet teaches what the Church doesn't teach yet. I teach what the Church taught in the beginning and has forgotten --the Sacred Union at the very heart of the Christian story." Margaret Starbird. Please enjoy visiting her site.

Another book I loved is a fictional account of Mary Magdalene and is the beautiful and adoring story by Marianne Fredriksson, (Hannah's Daughters) called "According to Mary Magdalene." I relished every page as the story walked me through day by day experiences she might have actually lived and survived.

The following link takes you to the website of Joan Norton, Jungian therapist and author of "The Mary Magdalene Within," a very moving narrative of the intimate relationship Jesus and Mary Magdalene.

And of course who of us have not read Dan Brown's, DiVinci Code! All of the books I have mentioned must of course be available at:

From the heart of Mary Magdalene we are guided through her inspiration and endure through her strength. We remember her in our mind with her alabaster jar of oil and roses of red color and feel through these associations we have come to know something of her heart and strongest passions.
